Facebook Post Ideas

To really see results from Facebook, you need to regularly post on your practice’s page. That means creating and publishing content at least 2-3 times per week. Here are ten tested and proven Facebook post ideas that can help spark those creative juices.

IDEA #1: NEWS ARTICLE

When you’re really pressed for time, this is an easy and effective way to build your brand. Find a relevant health news article and add a sentence or two of your own perspective before adding the URL. Links to well-regarded publishers (like newspapers, online magazines, etc) typically perform extremely well in Facebook’s algorithm. That means your post is more likely to show up in the newsfeed of your fans and their friends.

IDEA #2: STAFF PHOTO

Fun team photos are an easy way to make your practice seem more approachable. Posed photos are fine but candids are even better. To make the post more interactive, consider posting a candid shot as a caption contest. Your fans and patients will have fun commenting with silly one liners.

IDEA #3: INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE

It might sound a little cheesy, but the Facebook population loves them some cheese. Using a tool like Canva, copy your favorite inspirational health quote onto a cool textured background. Then just share the image you created.

IDEA #4: MEME

Memes are those viral images that flood your social media feed. You can even create your own with the site memegenerator.net using existing popular meme templates.

IDEA #5: BLOG POST

If you’re following our best practices, you know it’s a good idea to start your own practice blog. Besides helping to boost your Google search rankings, blog posts make perfect Facebook posts. Just copy and paste the URL along with a sentence about what inspired you to write the post in the first place.

IDEA #6: OFFICE PHOTO

Why not show off your space? Pictures of the exam room, lab equipment, and even the waiting area can help dispel some of the mystery for potential patients and get them to the office in real life.

IDEA #7: HEALTH TIP

From flu shots to vitamins, patients always appreciate hearing health tips from their doctor. You can drive up engagement even further if you attach an image to the post. You can find royalty-free images on sites like Pexels.

IDEA #8: VIDEO

In their bid to compete with Youtube, Facebook recently rolled out several changes to their interface to drive video views. You might have noticed this yourself when videos just started playing automatically right in your newsfeed. These changes mean your practice videos can get a lot of eyeball. Even if it’s just filmed on your cell phone, any video you share will likely be displayed to your entire Facebook network.

IDEA #9: COLLABORATIVE CARE FACT

Collaborative care is a new concept for many patients. Sharing little tidbits like how many visits are included in the subscription fee or how new patients get enrolled make the concept feel more familiar to your potential patient base.

IDEA #10: PATIENT TESTIMONIAL

Chances are, your team and service leave many happy patients behind. If you receive a nice note or voicemail from a patient, ask if you can quote them on Facebook. You don’t need to include their name, just attribute it to “Patient.”
